So it sounds like this had an anime-original ending? Interesting. Don't remember there being an explicit, large time-skip in the manga. Agree that Tsumugi is the best, felt that way reading the manga. Still amuses me that in this series, it feels like Nihei tried very hard to have standard manga tropes, but it's filtered through his own strange style, so we have a leading girl who's a giant moe tentacle monster.
Had no clue when this would be available to watch, but looks like there's a showing near me tomorrow
