I think I'm having trouble parsing this sentence because being gay is generally a prerequisite. That aside, thank you for bringing it up because while I'm usually okay seeing it depicted in an appropriate context with appropriate seriousness, it's really not a fun thing to get blindsided by.

"Internalized homophobia + adorable" would put it in the same subgenre as Seaside Stranger, though, so this is definitely going on the list.

You're welcome - as far as I'm concerned, it's emotional self-harm, and that always merits a content warning. And yeah, I did phrase that oddly, didn't I? Sorry about that!
