I adore Nishikata's art, so I checked this out years before Steamship was a thing, but the sadist trope has never worked for me (I grit my teeth when otome games force me to play the sadist's route to get the true ending), and Kiriyama has juuuuust enough shades of that for me to run screaming in the other direction--though he's really quite mild if anyone out there is on the fence about this series. This is apparently just my Beserk Button at play.
But I am galled that Hana no Kishi remains unavailable in English, even though I understand it has super-niche appeal, so I'm thrilled to hear it has some kind of non-Japanese translation! Honestly I'll probably just go buy the French version!

I tried reading this but the story wasn't that engaging to me.

Enemies-to-lovers is definitely one of my faves so I'll have to give this one a try.
