Another Yugioh connection. Yasuhara voiced Kurage in ZeXal, the series Hatanaka voiced Yuma. The funny thing is that Furukawa is the oldest seiyuu in this article yet he's voicing Lupin's dad rather than grandpa. Yasuhara is younger by a few years.
Can't help but envision Yuma when Lupin talks. Just need to hear him say "KATTOBINGU! ORE!". Lol at Revolver pulling out at the revolver as expected. Just need to hear him say "Varrelload" before shooting. Youko's design is on point. I see why she's a key character. |

Having Toshio Furukawa, who played Lupin in The Fuma Conspiracy, play his father, is brilliant casting.

It's funny how it felt like Part 6 went out of it's way not to dive that deep into Lupin's backstory or anything that concrete and here we have his dad and grandpa, with his dad even voiced by a former Lupin VA.
(Although funny enough, looks like there's no mom in the picture). I wonder if this Yoko character is related to Fujiko somehow. She just has that look, although I think there's definitely more to her. The fact that she's voiced by Saori Hayami also tells me we'll get to hear her actually sing knowing Hayamin's vocal skills. |
