Focusing on customization is a good idea. There are so many scenarios that they might not even think of that it would be easy to miss certain needs. Giving a player the tools to find what works for them opens up a lot of options.

The Xbox accessibility controller has been a big hit for Microsoft, and I’m honestly surprised Sony took this long to make their own. Hopefully it’s as customizable as the Xbox version. That’s part of what makes it work so well.

All of this and default controllers still don't come with back buttons, there are clumsy people or those who are missing one or two fingers who would buy you an adapter like the one the PS4 controller had.
I don't get why these companies love to give away so much money to third parties that make controllers with back buttons or adapters that add more buttons to existing controllers.
