Honestly, I thought that was gonna be the case, considering Bandai Namco was on the production committee for the anime, and a soccer game recycling the same engine and same assets but aimed at the mobile crowd sounds pretty on-brand for them, but this game is apparently gonna be published and developed by a different studio, so now I'm slightly intrigued.
