Not familiar with Manga Up!, do they release physical manga?
Even the Elf Captain Wants to be a Maiden and Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You looks good. Would be cool if they got an anime series or anime film release.

Manga Up! is Square Enix's manga publishing app. They launched it last year and it has an impressive catalogue of manga titles published by Square Enix (like Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, My Dress-up Darling, etc.). Square Enix do have an English manga publishing division called Square Enix Manga & Books, they as their name implies publish manga and other types of books in both digital and print.
That said Manga Up! does not have the best reputation, when it launched there was censorship on some titles like Dress-up Darling, where entire body parts (like knees) were covered by black bars. They have since removed the censorship. Another criticism people have is their business model, which is similar to other comic apps like Webtoon or Lezhin Comics.

I use Webtoon and I didn't really have problems with its business models, or heard much about complains, in fact I always though they're relatively fine. I heard complains about Manga Up, but mostly about censorship and about cutting chapters into parts (for example instead of chapter 2 you get 2.1, 2.2, 2.3) , so when you read only part of the chapter for free you want to pay for the remaining parts to get normal reading experience. It absolutely sucks if publisher is destroying intended reader's experience.
As for manga, "Smoking... " is nice though it can get repetitive after a while, and while I much preferred "Elf Captain"'s oneshot/chapter 0 version over the first serialized chapters I've read, it was also good read. If you read and like Elf Captain, I'd advice you to hunt down the oneshot chapter.
