Knowing when to end it is important and the sequel's focus on Peak Covid puts a limited life span on it so another 20+ volume epic was never in the cards. The cast is perfect for random short-form sequels every few years.
A shame that loosely adapted films is all the manga can get. A live-action US remake show could work in this case. |
