Art, maybe, but animation? Definetily not, it still has the same problem the anime always had of overusage of stills during fights, outside of the great Hisashi Mori scenes.

I think this is the second time Baki has had Rape in it and boy do those aspects of it continue to age poorly. But then again, the rape continues it’s reputation of being that “I cannot ever recommend Baki in good conscience, but I did watch the whole thing and will never forget what I watched” kinda way aha. Maybe not necessarily a good thing, but true to form and if you’ve watched the past Baki stuff you know to expect a level of stupid shit like that.
It’s one of those shows I tell friends ye I watched it, I don’t recommend it but if you’re curious feel free to take the plunge, don’t blame me what you find. Most just get filtered out by the so extremely ugly art, which is totally fair.
