I originally read the existing light novel version of this. I really liked it and the characters too.
This manga also makes me realize that I haven't seen new volumes of the light novel in some time, going to check that out later.
Forget Being the Villainess, I Want to Be an Adventurer.
The title says it all. But unlike other Villainess's titles, she really wasn't a Villainess, but through betrayal, magic, and war was made out to be one. She suffered a lot, before she died/killed. I have sadly forgotten.
Art work is good, and so is the story.
She knows what is coming, but has the time to change her future. So she chooses another career path to avoid going to magic school with the true villain. But fate wants what it wants, so other evil paths open up.
Another part to think on is, what happens to the background people in fairy tale stories of this type. In reality, they have to have background stories and a real living life. Which for our protagonist is a figurative 'gift from the gods'.
Some might not like the love story, but I liked it. They are going for the two lost souls, finding comfort in each other.
At its core this is an adventure story, with evil villains, evil and good magic, family drama, school arc, and a love story.
Five volumes of the manga are already out.
