In terms of hardware sales, it's been two weeks since the reveal of the Switch 2, but it hasn't had any impact on the original Switch's sales numbers, they're still very healthy for a console that's 8 years old and it's still ouselling the PS5.
In regards to game sales, Donkey Kong's numbers makes me wonder if Nintendo is planning some sort of new game in the future, the character is still very popular, don't know if they were waiting for Retro Studios to finish Metroid Prime 4 so they could make a third entry in the Country Returns series. Also, Guilty Gear: Strive's Switch version sold quite decently for such a late port at 3.978 copies, on the PS5 it only sold 3.547, however on the PS4 Strive sold 11.722, but as I said, those are decent numbers, there've been more fighting games on the Switch than previous Nintendo consoles since the Super NES, I wonder if games such as Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, King of Fighters XV and City of the Wolves will arrive on the Switch 2's first year.
