Great, I was dreading paying those EBay prices.

Makes me happy, so now I don't need to try and set up my Wii U to play the Virtual Console version.

It's been 8 years since the last FE remake came out. What is going on with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems? Didn't they say they were satisfied with SOV's sales? The SOV director said he wanted to work on more FE remakes, and FEH shows that people still love the old games. How is it that we still haven't had any worthwhile Fire Emblem news in ages?

My theory, founded on nothing but rumors and vibes, is that they were working on a Genealogy of the Holy War and/or Thracia 776 remake (the obvious next choices after going through Shadow Dragon, Echoes of Valentia, and New Mystery of the Emblem even if that one never went international) and Nintendo ultimately got cold feet about remaking and rereleasing a game duology in which incest is a critical and explicit plot point. Like, there's many reasons why Jugdral would pretty much have to get an M rating, but that one is a particular difficulty.

The Engage leak also mentioned a Genealogy remake. And my optimistic speculation is that they've been waiting for the Switch 2 to put the finishing touches on it because trying to do a fully-realized and authentic remake of FE4's scope on the Switch 1 proved too taxing (they already struggled with maintaining fidelity with Three Houses)

That would be pretty incredible, I really hope you're right here, it's such a classic series.

Has there ever been a game that got M rated for something like that alone? Like FE4 never explicitly shows any violence or sexual content on screen. Also let's not pretend that FE Fates doesn't exist...
