I don't think they've done "upgrades" for existing players in the past. The fact that this sounded like it was going to be a DLC for existing copies of the game is actually a little bit irregular, historically for NIS. Hopefully they still give it to current players once this Switch 2 version is out, but this is a slap in the face.
I've heard that when you buy a PC version of the game, that's actually their people at NISA taking time out of their day to make sure everything is working smoothly, and NIS just kind of nods and accepts that a PC release probably will make a little extra money overseas. NIS has also apparently been in financial trouble recently? This seems like a last-ditch grab for cash. At this point, I would probably advise that if you don't own a copy of Disgaea 7, that you wait and see what happens with this version of the game before making a purchase. In the meanwhile, the phone version of Disgaea 1 Complete is the definitive edition, and Disgaea 2, 4, and 5 on PC are all some of their best releases - always try their demos first though, to check things out before buying. |

Disgaea PC is better than Complete, It has the original, superior, sprite art and doesn't replace some classes for synergy with later games. Or just play the PS2 original if you want the OG experience and the Tsunami Bomb song
