I have never heard of 24/25 people on this list and have never seen anything MrBeast has made so I guess I'm winning.

While looking at the list, I was about to say I've never heard of any of these people but then I spotted 3 people I know specifically because of negative publicity.

Man idk if I'm just old now or if I'm not easily influenced.

Yeah, I'll go with the latter

Imagine being hailed as influential for sitting your ass down on a chair and playing video games, holy shit.

And actually good people who are struggling right now to fight against the establishment and bring about tangible change get left in the dust. These tabloids are worthless.

The main reason she's a VTuber at all is because she has common variable immunodeficiency in real life (which has left her with numerous health issues), and not only has she been an advocate for others with that disorder, her streams raise funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which she also serves as a spokesperson for.

I'm not the biggest fan of VTubers in general, but a quick bit of research can easily tell you that instead of leaping to assumptions.

She raised over a million dollars for immunodeficiency healthcare research last month. Sorry if saving lives doesn't count as "tangible change" to you.

Honestly, I don't know who most of the people on this list are, but who cares? They mostly seem to be doing some pretty neat stuff, there's no reason to be salty just because you don't personally follow them.

Didn't think Rolling Stone was still relevant, but good on Mouse to be recognized by the mainstream. Hopefully, this means more recognition for the IDF's cause.

They're not but they also don't focus on music anymore for a reason. Also I didn't think Iron Mouse was Japanese.

I personally think she's probably a bit of a novelty pick similar to you winning time magazine's person of the year. On the other hand maybe I'm too "modern" or something but she's not exactly skibidi toilet, the reservation some people are having here is kind of funny.

Framing these people as "shaping our culture" when you could probably ask anyone on the street if they've heard of these people and they'd say no to most of them is kind of generous. I myself have only heard about one of them. it's also funny seeing how wide this list is when you got people with 100+ million followers and then people with only 1 million followers. There's probably bigger people they could name but decided not to if this was going off how much reach and popularity they have.

She is not Japanese, she is American, Porto Rican specifically. She streams in English.
