I know Jump regrets canceling this one. They need to revive it as a Jump+ series or something.

If Tomokazu Sugita does not voice Chojo it's not worth watching.

Yaaaaay! I loved Chojo and was sad they canceled the manga. Glad to see it get another lease on life.
At the same time, can't say I'm not surprised. If the manga wasn't successful enough to continue, why do an anime of it?

This is the second case of a cancelled manga getting an anime, after Kill Blue. Not sure wtf is going on in Jump, honestly. Just don't cancel them! Or is the idea here that they had sort of done their run in the magazine but can still be milked a bit as anime?

So either Shueisha is just making random decisions nowadays, or the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing when axing series

Wow, random! I enjoyed the manga, got plenty of laughs out of it, but the premise was starting to wear thin before long and its cancellation was not at all surprising. This will probably be a one cour anime, distilled down to its the strongest elements.
I know in the manga industry everybody is looking for the idea that can be milked forever, but some stories just don't have the gas. Chojo being a gag series meant it could bow out more gracefully than most, at least.
(Why yes, I am still better about The Hunters: Red Hood.)

Woah, this is a surprise. Don't think anyone was expecting this. Still, congrats to Numa!

Third, actually. Black Torch also has an anime coming.

Didn't Kill Blue have the anime announcement alongside its ending? That at least makes more sense than announcing an anime 4 months after the series ended. The series not only barely ran for a year, a lot of their bigger named series aren't getting anime now until they're closer to 3 years old so why is this getting an anime. Blue Box was at roughly 2.5 years old, Sakamoto Days was over 3 years, and Akane-banashi only just got its anime announced and is also over 3 years in. I'd say their desperate for more anime series, since a lot of their other series just had one or are too new, but Nue's Exorcist over 2 years old now and Kagurabachi is about to hit its second anniversary and that isn't that strange a time to announce an anime for either. Milking a series people didn't care enough to read in the first place is just so weird since it isn't as if they don't have other series to get anime for. This really is just so weird to me.

Bro at this point, they might as well announce an anime adaptation for Ayashimon & Welcome to the competitive dance club. Might as well go all the way if they're gonna keep doing this.

Fourth, actually, since Buso Renkin's anime in 2006 happened after the manga got cancelled.
