I wonder at what point we stop calling Palworld an indie darling or underdog game if it keeps growing like this.

As far as I know, nobody has called Palword "an indie darling". In any case, in comparison with Pokémon, it's still a very, very, very small IP.

Surely not even Nintendo would try to patent the concept of TCGs...

I've kind of fallen off collecting physical TCGs at this point and stick to digital clients but I guess if there's a couple cards with nice art I'll grab the singles (mainly of the girls like Zoey or Lily) for display purposes.
I wonder if it'll be subjected to the scalper drama like other TCGs have been lately that makes them a pain to get.
