My Ribdiculous Reincarnation (TV) Source: Light Novel (completed @ 1 volume, written by Antai, illustrated by Mebaru) Demographic: Animation Studio: Qzil.la S.o.K Genres: comedy, fantasy Themes: isekai, reincarnation Plot Summary: In an alternate world where one can choose the form in which one is reincarnated, but choices like the "demon king" or the "hero with cheat skills in a harem" are so in demand that one would have to wait in line for around 50 thousand years. Our protagonist made a choice to be reincarnated over and over again into other bizarre forms, such as the rib of a hero with cheat skills in a harem story's happy ending, a hermit crab, or a vegetable. Air Date & Platform: April 07, 2026 (Tuesday) Available on: Crunchyroll Episode Count / Runtime: Pending [EDIT: Fancy opener stuff edited. -TK] |

I can see where some people might like this, but for me, it largely represents the trends that drove me away from a lot of western animation and towards anime: I'm not really into the non-stop dialogue spoken too fast and too loud, where I suspect at least 80% of it is stupidity masquerading as irony instead of irony masquerading as stupidity. Don't really like the animation style either.
I will say, though, that this anime does provide an explanation for all those isekai about people becoming swords and pigs and vending machines and so on. |

Quite heavily focusing on the MC being a horndog, and that joke got old midway first episode. It had some funny isekai jokes, but otherwise seemed to be pretty much whatever random stuff. Is next episode going to be more of the same, how are they going to stretch it with apparently just two characters, who seem also fairly dimensionless?

Ep two, not perfect, but my stupid funny show for this season. Very self-aware, a bit of fourth wall breaking, funny enough for me to look forward to it.

This weeks episode was the best so far. That second half was especially great, both in humor and presentation.
