I could see the possibility of a sequel, but I think it ended just fine. If there were no 2nd season, I would be good with it, since most of the major themes have already been covered.
Live action movie set in NYC would be cool!(If Hollywood didn't mess it up, lol)

Absolutely loved Apocalypse Hotel, but it wrapped up really nicely and as a viewer would much prefer seeing what Kana Shundou has for us next instead of just reiterating on what we've already seen

I thought it ended just fine, but I wouldn't mind a few more episodes to see where things go with the humans. Not really necessary though.
This could definitely work as a live action project, though I think it would lose a lot if you cut it down to a movie.
Hopefully we can see this on BD some day (soon)

I'm also one who thinks the anime wrapped up perfectly. Maybe they could do a follow up movie or OVA but we don't need everything to become a franchise.

Apocalypse Hotel isn't like a partially-adapted manga. It's a complete story. While they certainly *could* make stories set either in the many time jumps in the series or set it after, I don't see any continuation keeping what made it special, unless there's a very specific vision behind it.
