It always fascinates me when a random older anime with no fanbase receives an English dub. It’s either a passion project or someone had extra money to burn.

I mean, it's also only the equivalent of no more than seven episodes (four standard length & five half-length), so SkySet's not exactly breaking the bank to dub it. For a smaller outfit like them that wants to dub titles this makes perfect sense.

I'm just glad to see that SkySet is continuing to actually license stuff themselves, as I was worried that they'd just become a simple dubbing studio, but I imagine AnimEigo will eventually announce a physical release for this sometime in the future.

SkySet did mention in a tweet somewhere that they're going to step away from putting out blu-rays, since their attempt with Prime Rose didn't really work. Understandable, and I applaud them for at least trying, recognizing it wasn't their forte, and exploring their options.

Also, check out the outtakes for Prime Rose. They're hilarious. I'd recommend buying the AnimEigo blu-ray just for those alone. And the dub is actually pretty solid, a few unsynced lip flaps notwithstanding.

I remember watching a gag fansub of this anime back in the late 2000s.

Considering their own disc was a confirmed BD-R, of course it wasn't going to work.

Remember this. Obscure shows that most people never heard of gets a dub but not Tatami Galaxy, a well known and popular Anime.

I don't see how SkySet, a company that isn't FUNimation (i.e. the current Crunchyroll), licensing & dubbing an anime that isn't Tatami Galaxy has any relation to FUNimation never dubbing Tatami Galaxy, though they did at least give it a physical release after years of fans asking for one, but you do you I guess.
