When I learned of this release, I immediately pre-ordered it. I found the OAV enjoyable back in the day, but definitely that last episode scene during the credits I think that previewed events to come after the OAV was very cruel. I'll always be thankful that the manga was released in English.

I got about half way through the manga version and was so creeped out that I couldn't continue. I didn't watch this show the first time around and certainly will not get this one.

It's a little bittersweet to see the people behind the show wonder about the possibility of a sequel series to adapt the back half of the manga, knowing it never happened.

If only it did. Rather than stop on the bleakest/most depressing note the anime could have for itself, the story would have rounded out to a comparably more satisfying payoff where all the characters go in some insane/intriguing directions, and Yuri does technically come into her own as the heroine by the end.

So is everyone saying that the anime is incomplete, and we are better off reading the manga?

Never mind, only the anime is available, you would have to buy the manga via Ebay.

The anime doesn't cover everything, but it's a good adaptation. Maybe track down the manga if you really like the anime?
