How interesting! I've been with my boyfriend for three years, and he knows exactly how I am with my mannerisms and such. Perhaps they should make a book for the poor boys on how to deal with us. Anime hyper

To be quite honest, this is reminding me of Fujoshi Kanojo far to much. Laughing

They have the same chances of wanting to do that than a yuri fanboy. Rolling Eyes

There is probably no secret formula, same as many comic fans compromise when they start living with a significant other that does not share his/her tastes, the same happens here.

Hopefully that's a hurdle the book covers, since it's something I struggle with emotionally as a girl.

I wonder what any future marriage prospects will think that when they hear, "guys who like guys turns me on." Embarassed

As KIMOI as fujoshi are, I think it really says something that the counterpart to the otaku "How to Get Laid" self-help books is "How to Get Married."

Not actually surprised by that. Japan puts huge pressure on women to get married.

He'd have to read her fanfics if he wanted to make sure that rule was being followed. Laughing

I want this book now. I should see if I can find it when I'm in Japan

Meanwhile, the struggle for legal recognition of gay partnerships continues, queer people in Japan don't have solid protection against discrimination and harassment in the workplace and the Diet appears adamant in its refusal to add sexual orientation to Japan's civil rights code. Yeah, this book isn't at all insensitive to the social, civil and political issues facing queer people in Japan (and, indeed, worldwide).

Here are some other great book ideas, though I doubt they would ever sell to this market: "Transgender Fantasy Characters Offer Self-Obsessed Women a Vicarious Experience Detailing the Lengths They Must Go To in Order to Avoid Sustaining Verbal and Physical Harassment Whenever They Leave the Home"; "Pansexual, Polyamorous Bishounen Discusses the Need to De-standardize the Concept of Marriage Entirely"; "Shotacon Shiro Talks About How He Was Pushed to the Point of Contemplating Suicide Due to the Abuse He Suffered at the Hands of His Peers as a Result of Misconceptions Regarding His Sexuality, Many of Which Are Perpetuated by Stereotypical Depictions of LGBTQ People in the Media and Integrated within the Fetishization of Homosexuality as a Pornographic Experience."

Calmly awaiting the flurry of "It's just a joke, get over yourself, social conscientiousness is so aggravating/This is actually supportive of gay rights (somehow)!/Excuse me, but women have the RIGHT to fetishize homosexual men!/I have a gay best friend and that renders your argument invalid" comments from incensed fan girls who think that I'm aiming to invalidate their sexuality.

Sounds pretty funny, although I don't really want to know how intense a fujoshi fan is that they'd need something like this for their love life (same with some of those really hardcore otaku that need guidebooks too)Laughing

You do realize that the chances of a yuri fanboy wanting to see hot yuri action irl is approximately 100%, right?
