Amazon actually states they are being released by Sony, and also lists separate DVD versions.

The same sony who's ownership of the Kenshin Licence ensures the UK will never get a good boxset of that?
The same sony who, even in the face of it doing much better in the UK than the US, never gave us an Astroboy 2k3 boxset?
Same Sony, PSP GO?!
Yeah, this doesn't bode well.

It is SPHE so the PSP Go is unrelated. This is the Sony who brought us FF VII: Advent Children, Paprika, Memories, Metropolis, Steamboy, Tekkonkinkreet and Tokyo Godfathers.
Also the same Sony who never released Blood+ over here and presumably also caused the dub to be "unavailable" to Manga. I'm not sure where Kenshin and Astroboy fit in.

Well if anything, Sony is consistent.
