Saw it on television a few minutes ago. What do you guys think, better than the first, or not? I know it's just a commercial, but to me it's a sign that anime is popular enough to advertise a completely unrelated item by the work of Production I.G. Personally, I thought this one was better. A sharp, fluid animation style which reminds me of X for some reason... I thought it was good.

I didn't like the first and I don't like this one. Sure, the animation is good, but the music is bad, the guy's voice is annoying, and they're hocking the same crappy product (what's the point of making a cellphone hideous by including a full-on keyboard when people are still going to type "U.R. L8" like morons?). At least there's more of a plot and less of those halfassed excuses for Invaders this time around (yeah, the guys in coats reminded me of the enemies from Gatekeepers...only the Invaders were actually kinda cool).

Actually, I just got one of these things
 I like it, I have a few complaints, but overall I'm quite pleased, especially for the very low price.
As to the actual topic, I haven't seen the commercial myself yet (and may never see it since T-Mobile doesn't exist in my area). But I agree that its a very interesting indicator of how far anime has come in North America. |

I've seen the one where he talks in Russian or something, and at first I liked it, but I was watching some movies off shockwave, and they showed the commercial EVERY SINGLE TIME, and I got sick of it. Fast. Animation was great though, but it's been overplayed with me.

I caught half of it last night (and I just watched the beginning thanks to Jet's link). I like the commercials. I think it's nice animation.
