I'm probably not the only one who has had the problem of wanting to buy a DVD/CD/Game binder/folder to store massive amounts of anime for things like travel, moving into a dorm and not wanting to have a ton of cases, etc., but not knowing which DVD folders work well or are worth their price.
I've noticed plenty of topics about DVDs and anime merchandise on here, but none about transporting or storing DVDs in binders/folders. So, my question is: What are the best DVD folders or binders for holding a lot of anime (at least 50+ discs)? |

Where I live, JB-HiFi has 256-disc folders. Very reasonably priced, too.

I use Case Logic 256 DVD binders. It is nice that their newer models let you slip in or out individual pages which can help you add 8 DVDs without having to rearrange your entire collection.

i also buy case logic 320 dvd binders they are really sturdy, get the ones that look like they are made of leather though, on the nylon ones the zipper tends to break. i also like to take the pages out of one and place them in another 320 case to full the case to the max!

I finally got a Case Logic 224 binder.
I like the slips to put the DVDs in the themselves, they secure them nicely and they don't feel like they're going to fall out by tipping it upside down. But taking out DVD pages is rather ineffecient. Unlike 3 binder rings where you can put something in whereever you want to, this one requires you to take out all the pages before it and put them all back. Its not the most conveneint thing, but at least they're movable. It zips up rather well and everything inside of it fits, even when most of it is full. The cover seems sturdy enough, I'm not too concerned about the safety of the contents. I kinda wish that instead of having a "quick selection" thing on the front side's cover, that they had just given me more pages as I really don't need 16 spaces for CDs or anything (that's what an MP3 player is for), I would've been fine with maybe 4-5 quick slots. I think $40 US is a little much for it, but I actually got it for $15 US. It fits my needs for now, but if I were to get a bigger one at any time, I probably wouldn't feel a need to keep this one either. |
