I know that a lot of you have talked about the edits to Tenjho Tenge. While I'm not too interested or concerned about edits to panty shots and boobs (**bare chests and tightie whiteies being a different story Wink Very Happy ), I am concerned about the storyline.

Do the edits compromise the storyline?

Thanks!

I didn't notice many changes regarding storyline from manga to anime (probably because I was reading the manga half-heartedly...). Some events were swapped around (I think the "Bunshichi tells his story" part came earlier), but the anime seems to have followed the manga quite faithfully. The flashback seemed to go by faster and Shin seemed less "convincing" though...

(I have to say, I think the anime cut off in a good place; it gets much weirder from there. Seems like spoiler[Nagi's mom is in some society along with Mitsuomi's dad to train Nagi to beat everyone at that tournament.]).

uh, he isn't talking about the anime at all. "Anime" does not even appear in his post. He's asking if the CMX edits of the manga affect the story of the manga.

I don't know how much the storyline is affected. I think some later scenes will have to be removed entirely but I don't know to what degree it will affect things. I've only read one volume of the manga.

Some of the stuff I've read from other people is that they also change some of the storyline as well (such as refering to something less offensive). Personally, I wouldn't even bother, with the current volume being relase, there are about over 200 edit and change.

My mistake. I somehow misinterpreted it as "how is the storyline edited in the anime from the manga?" But, considering that the manga came first, that doesn't quite make sense either...

Didn't help that I had just posted in a Tenjou Tenge anime thread either...

I would have to say: NO. I actually bought the first volume, but then read in Anime Insider that the storyline was all but heavily edited, almost to where children well under 13 could read it. Mad

At least the anime doesn't suck. I'm sticking to it. Wink

Yeah I agree...the only thing that is probably worth checking out is the anime. And the anime really isn't all that great, in my opinion. But manga wise its not worth the time and the money.

Cmx tried to make the book appropriate for thirteen year olds, but they failed miserabley. The book is still way to mature for the younger set. It's full of misogyny and sexual assaults. It's a little stomach-turning really. If you can get past that, there is great art and a good story to enjoy.

Sweet Gimmick, what is your super-cute avatar from? It is adorable! Very Happy
