For those of you who don't know, there was a TMNT anime. It was a 3 episode OAV. I saw one ep. a few months ago. I don't really download fansubs because I don't know trust the accuracy, but I was curious about this anime. Unfortunately, it didn't have subtitles.

From what I saw, the animation was very similar to the American version. In this version, the turtles could transform into shell-less, more powerful warriors. I forgot what it was about but I know I didn't like it.

Have any of you seen this and what did you guys think?

Well that's a new one on me. TMNT as anime? Never saw it coming. But then again, I never expected a South Park parody on FLCL, so I guess anything is possible now.

I heard about the anime a while back, but never got ahold of any of the eps. Now with those screen shots... those are seriously scary looking things they transform into. I'll take my regular TMNT thank you very much. I'm already rather glad it was only 2/3 episodes long.

Looks like a DBZified TMNT to me. Don't want it, don't need it. I'll stick with the new US 'toon instead. Or better yet, the old one. *pops in DVD* Wink

Wasn't one of the big plot points of TMNT was that they where teenagers? This reminds me of Cell from DBZ. It's a bit scary.

The guy who wrote that webpage is pretty anoying with his ignorance of anime. Of course I imagine the only reason he got to watch this show was because he bought it bootlegged at a comic book convention.

Don't know if you did a background check of this guy or not. I seem to find your "ignorance of anime" comment kind of funny. I don't see anything, anywhere, that shows he's "ignorant of anime". I think he's a fan of Ninja Turtles and thought, "Hey, look at this crazy bootlegged version of TMNT. Let me buy it so I can review it for SC!"

From what I see, Scary-Crayon isn't a site about anime, so if you wanted to see a detailed review from someone that is so deep into the anime scene so much that they wear costumes of their favorite characters like a bunch of losers; you went to the wrong place.

Um, ok was two paragraphs really neccessary here? Are you room-mates with this guy? No, I'm not taking my words back. Making generalized statements about things you don't know much about should not be done.

Pot to kettle, didn't you just make a generalized statement about the guy that runs that site?

Anyway, I don't really see any fault in what he said, but his choice of member names certainly was a personal attack on you.

Ok, maybe I over-reacted a bit, but would you atleast agree statements like this, "As an anime it goes without saying..." are anoying.
