In that case, buy some cheap image editing program. Jasc's Paint Shop Pro is a good one to try. |

Indeed. at around $500, or $600 for the CS version, it's not really cheap. Jasc Paint Shop Pro, has a lot of Photoshop inspired features, and is only around $100 (or less, depending on the frequent sales). Bah. They're all good. Just find something. |

Here's a free image editing software.
As for my avatars, I usually load up a video file in VirtualDubMod, go to a specific frame, and press "Ctrl+1." Then I paste it onto Paintbrush, and save it as a JPG. If I want to edit the image I just save, I loaded it up in Irfanview and play around with the settings. |

There's no necessity of paying. You can always look over webistes, google, and other image searchers. Then, when you got the image, save it and go to the Paint. There, just go making the image smaller until you get to 80 x 80, save it again, and upload it.
Why you should pay for an avatar? |

But I won't go into that! Besides you can always go to Adobe's website, and download the free trial of CS!
