Those upset with the podcast are going to be the same people out there that do not actually care for the truth.

more likely they will see them as digging up old drama. (because drama always gets attention)

if they wanted talk about it they should of done so in 2019 or 2020...not 2022.

truth or not doesnt matter as everyone will have their own view regardless.

We all know how this story turned out don't know if a podcast covering the topic again is necessary or that compelling but maybe I'll check the first episode out when I find the time.

What a load of ****

They did talk about it back then, and got harassed and sued as a result. Hence the tongue-in-cheek description.

Truth does matter, but of course, whether or not you believe their version of the story is the truth is up to you.

Just a quick browse in their filmography says they haven't really had too many casting roles since this whole drama happened. Marchi in particular has only had 3 new roles since 2019. If the whole fiasco ended up causing a lot of bridges to be burned in the industry for them then I can't really blame them for trying to benefit from it like a lot of other people involved in it have already, even if it is probably a bit late to do so.

You must be joking.

They address this in the podcast, but they were in the middle of an ongoing lawsuit (which is technically still ongoing as they're still waiting to see the results of the appeals). They were advised by their lawyers to NOT speak, and even now, they're just retreading information that was already made available.

You don't just stop having feelings about all of the harassment you received nonstop for three years straight. It's absolutely absurd to suggest people who have undergone such a trauma-inducing series of events (and I don't just mean the initial assaults) should just not talk about it. Most people do NOT see the level of vitriol these women have seen daily for over three years and could not possibly understand what it's like to have to live it. Let them talk about what it's done to them if they feel like it.

Even I, as a well-meaning fan, got the timeline wrong. That’s what the first episode helped me realize. Vic was fired *then* cons cut bait and *then* Marchi, Rial et al started tweeting. And, I think it’s important to note, Mignogna admitted in various forums (tweets and through crocodile tears at a con) to varying degrees of what he did, and admitted it again in his deposition. I’m glad they’re doing this podcast and I hope it’s cathartic for them.

I don't know why they decided to pick at this scab...this seems like a terrible idea. Not the podcast itself, I think there's something there. But with these two hosting? Oof. Do they really want their careers to continuously involving Vic and his fans? They really must have enjoyed all the twitter fighting...which we all surely will be subjected to again.

They obviously started this podcast to clear up misconceptions about the whole Vic affair. In the first episode, for instance, they talked about how many of the convention cancellations came before either Marchi or Rial tweeted about the matter.

I’m glad they’re doing this podcast, though I can’t imagine it will convert the Vic people or the culture war bozos that they listen to.

Ah, yes, it's the people going through horrific daily harassment who should just say nothing about their experiences at all, not the people doing the harassing. /s
