Really hope they do the episode that shows how spoiler[Conan can return to his teenage body with alcohol.] The episode with Ai’s capture didn’t make a lot of sense without it.

Hoping to see the Desperate Revival arc or the Clash of Red and Black get dubbed.

How is it vs Funi's old dub?

Really glad to see it's not a big gap on the turnaround time between batches so far, really liking this dub (though it does definitely have some major gaps in it) and hoping they do a lot more of it. Be nice if they could at least do some of the filler at some point given that first batch kind of isn't a super indicative selection of episodes in terms of what the show's usually actually like.

From what I’ve heard it’s pretty solid. They went back to the Japanese names so that can throw you off if you’re only familiar with the funi dub or the official English translation of the manga.

Only issue I have is that “there is always only one truth” isn’t nearly as catchy as “one truth prevails”.

Yeees! Really excited and happy to see more of this dub is on the way. It still feels surreal getting to see some of these fan-favorite episodes dubbed into English. Smile

I don't think doing any of the anime-original filler would be a wise use of whatever resources they're putting into these Selections, but doing some of the more laid-back/standard cases originally from the manga would definitely be welcome, if that's what you meant!

I hope they continue dubbing for a long time.

Liked this new dub more than I was expecting, and it was nice to hear Mark Stoddard back as Inspector Megure - honestly thought the original FUNi cast was perfect (if the scripts & names hadn't been changed...), so it was nice seeing at least 1 recurring voice in the same character at least.

Yeah, filler was probably the wrong word, mean more that it'd be nice to see more business-as-usual episodes in there.

August is the month for dubbed Conan.

I'm curious whether Bang Zoom or Studio Nano will dub Black Iron Submarine.

Studio Nano seems to have mainly done ADR production work before but they have done recording studio work before on Kaguya-sama Love is War and the Given movie. company#20983

sorry for late reply but thank you very much. Also makes sense why i didn't hear of them as they dubbed shows i didn't care for even in japanese as they were coming out.
