Slightly disappointing to not hear of any new announcements, but they're currently releasing so many awesome series and have a few more coming up that I can easily forgive them. Very Happy

14:40:16 <bay> clean ops eand ends plus japanese commercials
14:40:28 <bay> 32 page hardcover art book
14:40:22 <bay> 1 package with 1st two seasons
14:40:44 <bay> and we're going to start pre-orders now
14:40:53 <bay> so please go to our booth and pre-order

And I'm interested to hear than Natsume is going to have the first 2 seasons released in one package. I wonder how much the premium edition will end up being?

14:50:54 <bay> A: When it sells out, we don't do reprint
14:51:02 <bay> Q: So if it doesn't sell out, we have to wait?
14:51:09 <bay> A: Yes, you might have to wait 5 or 6 years
14:51:28 <bay> It's like how many users appreciate it the premium and how many appreciate standard, and i'm always trying to guess
14:51:37 <bay> F: So it's a maybe for everything unless it sells out?
14:51:39 <bay> A: Yes

I've already heard as much previous, but I still appreciate hearing updates on the issue to know if they've changed their stances towards standard editions. I better not dilly-dally on any premiums I might have an interest in since a standard isn't guaranteed.

I had to play with the URL to find that article, it's located at animenewsnetwork.com/convention/2012/anime-expo/15

Man. This is the second time where there is errors in the reports from ANN. I really can't tell if it is ANN screwing them up, or if it is the PR speakers. Either way, someone isn't doing there job right.

NIS America has nothing to do with Persona 4, they released Persona Trinity Soul.

Today (7/1) is coincidentally Natsume Takashi's birthday. =D And I just happened to marathon the third season with friends yesterday. Anime hyper

Glad to finally have a release date for Natsume. If it's got the same pricing scheme as other NISA releases, I'm going to assume we can buy it for $51.99 from RightStuf. I paid over $250 for the Japanese BD box set. Anime hyper But everything's still worth it and I'm going to buy the North American release even though I already have all the Japanese BDs. This series is just that good.

So in other words, NIS announced a whole bunch of stuff that they had already announced.

Meaning their entire panel was worth f***-all.

Meh. Whatever. I don't like them as a company anyway. Confused

*goes back to newspaper*
Not every company announces half a dozen licenses at every convention. Before AX, Rightstuf/Nozomi hadn't licensed anything new for who knows how long, yet I don't see people saying the same thing about them.

Well, they can't always have new things to announce. They just made a lot of announcements at Anime Central barely 2 months ago. And AX is known as an Industry con, so it makes sense they would still have a panel there. Not everyone follows ANN or their website.

The release date for Natsume is the best news of the con (for me, anyway).

I love NISA, and own many of their boxes.

It kind of makes me sad that this talkback thread had to start out with trolling douchebaggery. Generally I don't care for censorship, but in this particular instance, I can only feel appreciation for the mod.

Tony K is a god. Thank you.

I was hoping for some new NISA licenses too, but they have already put out a bunch of stuff this year and still have a few things in the wings (Brave 10, The Secret Lives of Highschool Boys). I'm not going to complain about a company that has given us Bunny Drop, AnoHana, Zakuro, Occult Academy, Kimi ni Todoke among others this year alone.

Honestly as Tuxedocat says a release date and info on Natsume was one of my top wishes for AX, so at the moment NISA had the best panel to me.

Why they didn't talk about the dubbing thing?

They did. They said, as they've said a million times in the past, it's not fiscally feasible to dub at this time, and instead they'd rather put their efforts into providing value-added things like the art books and the art boxes.

I'm more interested in the comment they made about Shin Mazinger.

From what I heard, apparently someone else already has the license.

Was not aware of that. Wonder who does have it then.

Can anyone tell me if they said anything about Toradora BDs (or at least the BD-only OVA)?
