I don't understand. Does this mean that Trigun dvd 1 will be $14.98 but the other 7 will still be $29.98?

Well, that is a bit odd, but it is still a hopeful sign. I've been wishing anime DVDs were cheaper since I started buying them.

It's not really all that odd. You drop the price of the first volume to hook people into the series. Then you crank the price up for the subsequent volumes that they will "have" to buy.

(Of course, it could just mean that they have an overstock of those particular titles.)

It's not a surprise to see vol 1 have price drop and not the others. Volume 1 of ZOE is cheaper than the rest, but only by $5. This is a price drop of $15. A big difference.

It's about damn time...

They need to drop the price of all of them, though. Why only the first volume? Are they just enticing us or something?

I also want pricedrops on boxed sets: Specifically Trigun (though I already have all the individual volumes, an empty box would be nice), Hellsing, Lain, and Tenchi Muyo!

Price drops on box sets would be really nice. But I agree that this is just a way to hook people into new series, so they'll buy the rest of the DVD's. Hopefully, more of this kind of thing will follow!

Well if they keep this up I might be able to afford dubs and I won't have to resort to cheap imported subtitles. Not that I mind subs mind you just that a dub looks nicer on my shelf.

Considering most DVDs nowadays have dubs and subs together, I don't know why you'd have to resort to bootlegs (which is what I shall assume you are talking about by 'cheap imported subtitles').

... Well, I'll show them. I'll only buy the 1st DVD. HA!

It won't be the first time I only have one tape out of a series. ^-^;;

Yay! Maybe now I can pay back the wallet moths all the money I owe them! Heehee, Cassandra's statement sounds like what a crack dealer does; gets them hooked cheap, then drives the price sky-high.

Besides, you don't buy "crack dealer" models, posters, or wallscrolls.
