Seasonal Events Return in Persona5: The Phantom X
by George Yang,
During Anime Expo 2025, Atlus and Sega hosted a panel for Persona5: The Phantom X, which included P-Studio creator Kazuhisa Wada, producers Yosuke Uda and Jun Matsunaga, and character designer Shigenori Soejima. They explained the design process and the inspiration behind Persona5: The Phantom X's character artwork.

Wada stated that the Phantom Idols in the game were designed to straddle the line between character-focused and realistic. “We tried to make them look like they're living in the real world, to make them look authentic,” he explained. They're team members who are fighting alongside the player, and the design team wanted them to stick out individually.
Atlus also revealed a new character named Chizuko Nagao, who will be added to the game soon. She's a 75-year-old lady wearing an eyepatch and blue garb.

To add more content to the game, Atlus also confirmed that it has ideas for seasonal content, including ones for Christmas and Valentine's. For the upcoming summer seasonal event, Atlus announced that they will add more story to the game and the summer events in the original Persona5, which was on a fixed timeline. Since Phantom X isn't locked into an in-game calendar, the game can make its summer events last for a much longer time.
“There are a lot of updates we're planning. Next week, we'll have our first update. On version 1.1, there's going to be added main storylines, characters, synergy scenarios, and rogue-like new content,” Matsunaga said.
One audience member asked if there will be more content involving the members of Strega from Persona 3, which was an antagonistic group. “We're planning to do more Persona 3 content on a global scale,” Uda explained. “I'm a huge fan of Chidori as well, so we're looking forward to seeing how we can launch this.”
Atlus also replayed the announcement trailer for Persona 4 Revival, but unfortunately didn't reveal any new info on it. Wada reiterated the platforms on which the game would be released, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Interestingly, there was no mention of Switch 2, despite the new Nintendo handheld console having been available for a month already.

Lastly, Lyn, who sings many of the Persona franchise's songs, closed out the panel. She performed songs like "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" with the audience exploding in applause at her soaring vocals.
