The official Twitter account for the Assassination Classroom television anime announced on Friday that the delayed third episode will air on Fuji TV at 25:20 on Friday night (effectively 1:20 a.m. on Saturday in Japan or 11:20 a.m. on Friday EST). However, the account cautioned that the schedule is subject to change.
The third Assassination Classroom episode was delayed last week due to "various circumstances." The fifth Tantei Kageki Milky Holmes TD, originally scheduled for this Saturday, is being similarly delayed "due to circumstances."
The band Ling Tosite Sigure replaced the lines "Chi darake no jiyū ga" (Freedom covered in blood) and "Moroha no knife ni irodorareta" (Colored by a double-edged knife) in their Psycho-Pass film theme song "Who What Who What" during their television performance last week.
Two Japanese men — Kenji Gotō and Haruna Yukawa — were captured by the terrorist group ISIS, and a video of the two hostages was revealed last week. The terrorists demanded US$200 million within 72 hours in exchange for the men's release, and the deadline for the exchange was 2:50 p.m. JST (12:50 a.m. EST) last Friday. The Japanese government later received a photograph, purportedly of Gotō holding a photograph of Yukawa's body. The captors then changed their demands, asking for the release of Iraqi female prisoner Sajida al-Rishawi in Jordan in exchange for the release of both Gotō and Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh.
A commercial for the 10-Oku-En Big (1-Billion-Yen Big) soccer lottery stopped airing due to the hostage crisis. The commercial, which had been airing since October, included a character similarly named Gotō and the dialogue line, "The deadline's approaching."

Update: The episode aired as scheduled on Friday evening (early Saturday morning). Character designer Kazuaki Morita drew an illustration of Karma Akabane, the character introduced in this episode, to thank the fans for their support. The official Twitter account also noted that "Ansatsu Kyōshitsu Hajimatta" (Assassination Classroom began), #ansastsu_anime, and Karma-kun were trending on Twitter.
Update 2: Funimation is now streaming the episode.
