Live-Action Kakegurui Film's Poster Visual, May Premiere Revealed

The official Twitter account for the live-action adaptations of Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga unveiled a poster visual and May premiere for the live-action film on Friday. The tagline on the poster reads, "Even stronger than a joker, the high school girl," using the slang term "JK" (jōshi kōsei) for high school girl.

The manga is also inspiring a live-action series, and the second season will premiere on MBS and TBS' Dramaism time slot next spring. The cast members will reprise their roles for the second season of the series. Sayuri Matsumura joins the cast Yumemi Yumemite and Elaiza Ikeda will play Kirari Momobari.
The 10-episode show premiered in Japan on MBS on January 14, and on TBS on January 16. Tsutomu Hanabusa (Heroine Shikkaku, Asahinagu) directed the series. Netflix is streaming the series outside of Japan.
