Trivia:

This was the first completely CGI-animated show made by a U.S.-based production company--Netter Digital.

Ted Koplar of WEP, rights owner of Voltron, ordered 26 episodes and no more. That was the whole package deal Netter was offered even after the show proved successful. Voltron was the number-one syndicated show for boys ages 13 to 21-years-old in 1999, and was a financial success for Netter Digital, allowing the gateway to open for more 3D TV animation production. Netter went out of business 18-months after the last episode of Voltron completed post due to internal management issues over the direction of the company. Netter Digital was created to support post production and visual effects for live action sci-fi "Bablyon 5" and spin-off show "Crusade."
