Trivia:

Puffy AMiYumi sing the theme song and provide several songs for "Teen Titans" cartoon show.

The group added AmiYumi to the group's Name "Puffy" when they came to America so they wouldn't be confused with Sean "Puffy" Combs.

The group has released 3 American albums......An Illustrated History, Spike and Nice Featuring "Teen Titans Theme" and several song from the series

Their fourth American album is a collection of their greatest hits and the theme to their animated show.

This series was originally the only Cartoon Network show to use licensed music, up until the premiere of the “Regular Show” (2010).

Kaz was based on Puffy AmiYumi's real life manager Kaz Harada.

The skull on Yumi's shirt would always change to match her own expression and mood.

The way Ami and Yumi’s mouths grow as big as their own faces upon yelling was inspired by a similar style depicted in Charles Schultz’ “Peanuts” comic strip whenever the kids are seen giving out a yell.

The reason why the series was canceled in 2006 after three seasons, was because Sam Register, the show's creator, left Cartoon Network the same year, and moved to Warner Bros. Animation. It was also because Renegade Animation left to work on Cartoon Network's live-action movie pilot "Re-Animated", and Register disliked the idea of the proposed pilot. Another reason for the show's cancellation was that it, along with “Teen Titans” (2003), were overshadowed by the popularity of current Cartoon Network series “Ben 10” & “My Gym Partner's a Monkey”.

In episode 7, the first segment titled “Surf's Up” was banned in the United States due to the original title being , "Tsunami AmiYumi." The episode was originally set to be premiered on December 31, 2004, a few days after the Indian Ocean tsunami occurred. As a result, Renegade ended up changing the title and had all references to the tsunami changed (the word tsunami was simply changed into wave). The episode did get to be aired everywhere in the world except in the USA, where even the edited version was banned. The reasoning for this ban had confused the fans of the show when the tsunami in question occurred on the other side of world.
