This anime is actually intended to be a parody of "Gekko Kamen" (Moonlight Mask). Furthermore, its theme song re-uses the same lyrics to Gekko kamen's theme song, except that changes were made.
The Toenail of Satan is a parody of the Claw of satan from "Gekko Kamen".
Honey and Ms. Alphonne from Cutie Honey appear in the last episode.
