Trivia:

The nameplate on the wall in front of "Jil's" home in the op of episode 1 (mainstream version) has the voice actor's name on it.

In the Opening Sequence of Episode 1 Mainstream Version, on the part where Fatina is jumping on a hurdle and falling from a high jump (the part where she runs to board the train), we can notice that she is wearing her usual black clothes instead of her PE uniform.

Many of the names used in the setting come from Babylonian mythology: Anu was the sky-god; Ishtar, daughter of Anu, the goddess of love and war; Uruk (or Erech) was Ishtar's holy city; Gilgamesh was an epic hero; and Druaga was a demon.

The "gilda", the unit of money in the anime, is probably a mistranscription of "guilder", the Dutch monetary unit from medieval times until the switch to the euro.

At the end of episode 5, Kaaya is dressed like the "bunny girl" from the Daicon short films.

In episode one, around 21:20 we see Jil in his armor transformed to resemble Gurren Lagann, with sunglasses and drills sticking out.

This anime serves as a continuation of the storyline begun in the classic NAMCO arcade game, "The Tower of Druaga". In fact, the game's hero, Gil, makes an appearance in the anime.
