Characters in this show are loosely based off of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Kan'u is loosely based on Guan Yu, a Chinese general of the Three Kingdoms era. She wields the same kind of weapon as Guan Yu, a Guan dao which was named the "Green Dragon Cresent Blade". Same apply for Chouhi, who is also loosely based on yet another general, Zhang Fei.
In the final episode the explanation Chouun/Sei gives as to why she is wearing the mask is strikingly similar to the events that befall the main characters in Ultimate Girls
The tiger hairclip that Rinrin wears is always in synch with her current mood.
At the end of ep 1 during the preview to ep 2, Aisha and Rinrin's dialogue is a parody of "Maria-sama Ga Miteru" when Sachiko adopts Yumi as her 'souer' or 'little sister'.
Anime series adapted from a Eroge (Hentai PC game) of the same name.
The two new characters introduced in episode 2, Chouun and Kousousan, are based upon Chinese general Zhao Yun and Imperial warlord Gongsun Zan, respectively.
