Tokyo - April 28^th - Shochiku Co. Ltd. Game Business Office, Innovation Promotion Dept announced today the release of a free demo for Algorithm Prescription, their all-new visual novel for PC.
Marking Shochiku's first original romance visual novel for PC, the free demo offers a preview of the everyday relationships between the player character, Cocoro, and her potential love interests, presented from a perspective set apart from the main storyline of the game.

In the free demo version, the story unfolds from a third party's perspective. This standalone scenario explores events outside the main storyline while remaining closely tied to its narrative, giving players an objective look at the protagonist and her relationships, and highlighting the subtle dynamics she shares with each potential love interest. Designed to complement the main storyline, the demo provides additional context to help inform players' choices when they step into the protagonist's role in the full release of the game. An overview of the full game has been revealed to coincide with the release of the free demo version.
In Algorithm Prescription, players select a love interest as the story progresses, with the narrative branching into multiple endings based on their decisions.

The goal is the perfect 1/100 affinity level, which is the delicate balance of affinity that best fits both parties.
However, reaching higher levels of affinity doesn't necessarily lead to a happy ending. Adoration, Obsession, Imprisonment… Each love interest's route can unfold into outcomes that are anything but straightforward. Like a swamp, these relationships might pull you in deeper than expected, until you're completely immersed.

Xenoria is renowned for being the world's first city controlled entirely by AI. Its popularity has grown in recent years, because the fact that it's controlled by AI means people can live in the environment most suited to them.

Demo Version Story Summary

Koh has just been transferred to the hospital's PR department, and now suddenly she's in charge of creating a PR brochure.
Cocoro, the protagonist of the main story, helps her gather material for the brochure, but Koh wants to make it more interesting. However, due to past trauma, the pressure she feels is overwhelming.
What will Cocoro do when she guesses that from Koh's empathy score?

A story told from a third-person viewpoint (Koh) instead of the protagonist, allowing you a glimpse at the relationships between the protagonist and her love interests. Please be sure to play this demo version and enjoy the many hints of what's yet to come in the game's main storyline!

Koh  voiced by Akira Sekine
Born and raised in Xenoria, she recently transferred to the PR department at Xenoria Hospital. She still carries trauma from a past incident when she was forced to change profession due to her empathy score. She's the same age as Cocoro, but completed a four-year college degree, so has more experience working professionally.

Main Game Protagonist

The story's protagonist. She was raised by her grandmother on Sea Roar Island, and came to Xenoria to work as an intern at Xenoria Hospital. She is naturally attuned to the emotions of others.

Potential Love Interests

Shu  voiced by Toshinari Fukamachi
An esteemed psychiatrist at Xenoria Hospital. He spent some time with Cocoro on Sea Roar Island when they were young. He doesn't seem happy that she's now at Xenoria Hospital.

Tachibana  voiced by Haruki Ishiya
A cleaner who seems cursed(?) never to grow old. He is fond of Cocoro, and spends his time repaying her kindness as her neighbor. He is searching for a way to unlock the curse so they can experience the flow of time together.

Akuto  voiced by Shunichi Toki
An enigmatic figure who uses playful flirtation to charm and mislead at every turn. He's known Shu since their college days, and appears interested in Shu's childhood friend, Cocoro. Originally from Xenoria, he knows a lot about AI, but is shrouded in mystery.

Supporting Characters

Takafumi  voiced by Yūji Kameyama
A doctor who is a mentor to Cocoro and Shu. One of the few who is aware of the turning point that led to Xenoria being completely controlled by AI. He was highly motivated as a student, but these days his motto is "Everything in moderation."

Leon  voiced by Kōhei Amasaki
An engineer who lives with Tachibana next door to Cocoro. Leon met Cocoro in college after he was admitted early through an accelerated program, and she saved him from the isolation he felt as a young student. He's worshipped her as a goddess ever since.

Night  voiced by Sōichirō Hoshi
Akuto's personal secretary. Akuto took him in when he was young, and gave him his name as well. His duties are varied, and also involve serving as a bodyguard and attending to Akuto's every need.
