Plot Summary:
Teenage delinquent biker Kaneda is out on a routine rumble when his friend Tetsuo is inadvertently attacked by a child with an odd appearance. Suddenly Kaneda finds himself intertwined in a goulash of supernatural occurances, government conspiracies, political coups, and apocalyptic battles; all of which leading to a single being: the child known as Akira.
