Description:
 Gunbuster tells the story of a beautiful, young mecha pilot trainee Noriko Takaya. As thr daughter of a legendary space captain who was killed in battle, she struggles to continue her family's legacy by becoming a member of the Earth Space Force and joining in the war to defend Earth against an alien invasion.
 In segment one, Noriko struggles to master the skills of mecha combat. Much to everyone's surprise she is selected to join Kazumi (the school's top student) and enter the Earth Space Force, but must first overcome her own self-doubt as well as her first battle with a rival student!!
 In segment two, Kazumi and Noriko arrive in space and are quickly sent on a mission to investigate a strange unidentified object which is a key to Noriko's destiny!
 This Original Video Animation (OVA) release features character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto, a screenplay by Toshio Okada, and was produced by the innovative Gainax team.
