Dragon Quest Press Conference to Be Streamed Live

Ustream to show Monday event which will announce new title

The Ustream website will stream Square Enix's Dragon Quest press conference live on Monday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. in Japan (1:00 a.m. EDT).

Square Enix is holding the event as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Dragon Quest franchise. Square Enix will unveil the newest game in the franchise at the event, and will also introduce the game and show video footage.

Also in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the franchise, Square Enix is releasing the Famicom & Super Famicom Dragon Quest I, II, III video game collection (pictured at right) for the Nintendo Wii console on September 15. The collection will include both the Famicom (Nintendo) and Super Famicom (Super Nintendo) versions of Dragon Quest I, Dragon Quest II, and Dragon Quest III on one disc. The indie anime studio Kamikaze Douga is animating a new opening sequence for the game. The collection will also include footage of the latest game in the franchise, Dragon Quest X, which is currently in development.
