"Automatic Sensation" singer also plays "Society for the Study of Romance" student

The voice actress and singer Ryoko Shintani will perform the "Automatic Sensation" theme song for next year's Koi-ken! mobile phone anime. Shintani plays Sakura Akagi in the original dating simulation game, and she will reprise her role in the Koi-ken! ~Watashi-tachi Anime ni Nacchatta!~ (Koi-ken! We've Been Animated!) anime adaptation.

The game, which began in January of 2010 and has a 3-million-user base, depicts the campus life of members of Renai Kenkyūkai (The Society for the Study of Romance) or "Koi-ken." The protagonist's "extremely ordinary" high school life changes overnight when he encounters Kaede, a girl who is returning from living abroad and transferring into the school.

The Marvy Jack studio is producing the anime, and kamisiro is directing from a script by Deko Akao. In addition to Shintani, the leading voice cast includes Haruka Tomatsu (Kaede Wakamiya), Kaori Nazuka (Nagisa Toyama), Aki Toyosaki (Wakaba Otowa), Kikuko Inoue (Haruka Kikui), Rie Kugimiya (Mari Kikui), and Sakura Tange (Hotaru Yamabuki).

Shintani's Automatic Sensation single CD will ship in Japan on February 14 (Valentine's Day) for the retail price of 1,800 yen (about US$23).
