1st web novel in series revolves around former member of Schicksal hacker organization
CyberConnect 2 revealed on its Twitter account on Monday that the company is publishing the first .hack web novel titled .hack//bullet.
The new novel revolves around Ryūji Sōgabe, who was a member of the now-dissolved Schicksal hacker organization. Ryūji previously studied psychiatry in Germany and once worked for CyberConnect. He is now manager of a network trouble consultant company. The novel also features Jyōtarō Amagi, a genius programmer who is an advocate of the "real digitize" theory. Through a former coworker, Ryūji gets caught up in an evil conspiracy inside The World.
The novel's prologue was posted on Friday, and the first two chapters will be posted on June 22.
