Voice actress Shiho Kawaragi announced on Monday that she gave birth to her first child — a healthy 2,905-gram (about 6-pound, 6-ounce) girl — on Friday, December 7 at 8:44 p.m. She kept working up until the delivery, and with the trouble-free birth, she thinks she will return home very soon. Kawaragi appologized to people for having them worry over her, and thanked people for their support.
Kawaragi announced in April that she had gotten married in March. She then announced in August that she was in her sixth month of pregnancy. A few days later, the Little Busters! anime's website announced that Yuiko Tatsumi was replacing Kawaragi in the role of Mio Nishizono "with Kawaragi's health being our first and foremost consideration."
Kawaragi played Mio in Key/Visual Art's original Little Busters! visual novel. She also played Sekai Saionji in the School Days visual novel and anime franchise as well as Cheria Barnes in the Tales of Graces role-playing game.
