Evangelion 9-Patty Burger Comes With 'Fork' of Longinus

Japanese fast food chain Lotteria announced on Thursday that it will offer a "Q-Dan Cheeseburger" to mark the April 24 Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo film. The burger comes with nine layers of patties and cheese, topped with an all-original Spear of Longinus fork for 1,280 yen (about US$13).
Why a 9 x 9 burger? It's a pun on the film's Japanese title: Evangelion Shin Gekijō-ban Q. (Nine is pronounced kyū in Japanese.)
The Q-Dan Cheeseburger will go on sale on Wednesday, April 24, just like the home video release for the third part in Hideaki Anno and Khara's four-film version of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion series. From that day until May 31, the chain is also holding a random drawing campaign via its mobile site. The prize is a 158-centimeter (5-foot, 2-inch), life-size, articulated Rei figure.
