Columbia Sound Treasure Collection Reprints Classic Anime Soundtracks

Music label Columbia is launching a series of CD releases compiling background music from classic anime. The Columbia Sound Treasure Series has three upcoming soundtrack releases, starting first with Nippon Animation's 1970s anime Teppei (Ore wa Teppei), based on the manga by Tetsuya Chiba (Ashita no Joe).

The soundtrack will be released in a two-disc set on April 29 for 3,500 yen (about US$29)

Columbia is also reaching back into its archives to release the soundtracks to Toei's Lupin tai Holmes anime special on June 24 and Tezuka Production's Umi no Triton on July 29. If you're a fan classic series or anime soundtracks in general, it's worth checking these out!
