Yui Horie's Idol Character Miss Monochrome to Release New Album

Android idol Miss Monochrome, an original character created and played by voice actress Yui Horie, will be releasing a second album this fall, after signing a contract with music company King Records.
In a statement to the public, voice actress Yui Horie said, "There were times when I didn't think a second album would ever be released, so as the original creator I'm very happy!"
Also, in order to celebrate the one year anniversary of the smartphone application Miss Monochrome Go! Go! Super Idol, a "3rd Coordinate Contest" is being held until April 25. Fans will compete to win a jacket from the new album by changing their character's clothing in the app to match various themes. More details can be found on the official application website.
Miss Monochrome first appeared as a 3D character at the "Horie Yui o Meguru Bōken III ~Secret Mission Tour~" concert in 2012. She inspired a line of character goods and her own television anime, Miss Monochrome The Animation, which aired in 2013 and was streamed by Crunchyroll.
Two additional seasons of the anime, Miss Monochrome - The Animation- 2 and Miss Monochrome - The Animation- 3, aired in 2015 and were both streamed by Crunchyroll as they were released.
Miss Monochrome has also inspired a manga titled Miss Monochrome -Motto Challenge-, which is serialized in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine.
