SAO Alternative, Darling in the Franxx Top 2018 Newtype Intermediate Results

Kadokawa's Monthly Newtype magazine announced the preliminary results of the Newtype Anime Awards 2017-2018 on Thursday. Readers of the magazine and other anime fans are voting for their favorite works among those released between October 2017 and September 2018. The voting deadline is August 27.

The final results will also include best male and female characters, voice actor, song, and staff awards. Kadokawa will announce the winners during the Machi Asobi Vol. 21 event in October.

Fate/Apocrypha and Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale won the top awards last year.
